The Snarkpit is a Half-Life website featuring both maps and mapping started in 2002 by Leperous. The site contains many mapping tutorials as well as map downloads from registered users on the site.
The Snarkpit currently hosts maps for a large number of different games/engines and modifications of those games. It remains to this day one of the largest mapping tutorial websites, as well as one of the largest map download databases for Half-Life and to a lesser extent, Half-Life 2. The current count of maps hosted on the site is 2488.
