PlanetPhillip is review and map/modification database website created and managed by Phillip Marlowe, a prominent figure in the Half-Life community.

The site was launched in 2003 and originally focused more on futuristic or non-reality based single player maps for a variety of games including Unreal, Wolfenstein, Quake and Half-life; however now it is mostly known for the Half-Life series. The site includes walkthroughs and interviews with mod developers, as well as weekly poll questions designed to explore single player mod making.

The site is regarded as the best single source of single player maps and mods for all the Half-Life series of games. From 2008 and on, a "Hall Of Fame" and "Mod Of The Year" section was created to make finding the best maps and mods released each year easy.

Mirror Issues

The site also hosts the files on a variety of mirrors including FileFront, Modsite and AtomicGamer. However, since the closure of Filecloud, many files current have broken links. These links are slowly being updated.

Intro Video

On January 2nd, 2010, Phillip released an introduction video which was added on to the site's right sidebar on all pages. The style of the video is similar to that of Dr. Wallace Breen, as he was typically shown speaking on the video screens spread throughout City 17 in Half-Life 2.
