Half-Life: Source Coop (alternatively "HALF-LIFE: Source Coop") is one of the very few Half-Life: Source modifications ever released. It was created by Rikku2000 and the first beta (Beta 1) was released on March 24th, 2007. The modification allows for players to be able to join a server to play through the single-player Half-Life game (and other custom map sets) cooperatively.
Half-Life Deathmatch: Source features some of this functionality already; however, Half-Life: Source Coop transfers weapons as well as players consistently through each map without the need to manually change levels through the console. Although it is officially a Source engine modification, you need to have the Half-Life: Source game files installed on your Steam account for the modification to function.
Beta 1 of this modification no longer works correctly with the latest version(s) of the Source engine and subsequently, Half-Life: Source updates. Problems consist of players getting stuck in walls on map changes, weird animations, and other map change bugs which essentially stop the game from progressing at all as displayed in some of the screenshots.
As of February 22nd, 2010, the official hosting site of the modification, FPSBANANA no longer recognizes Half-Life: Source as a game and as such, Half-Life: Source Coop is no longer hosted.
