Counter-Strike: Source (commonly abbreviated CSS or CS:S) is an FPS video game developed by the Valve Corporation on the Source engine, released on November 1st, 2004. It is a complete remake of the original Counter-Strike using nearly identical game mechanics and objects; albeit, with new technology and resources (such as physics).
Counter-Strike: Source is a team-based game which pits counter-terrorists against terrorists in a series of rounds (as determined by server settings). Each round is won by completing objectives such as team elimination, detonating or defusing a bomb, or rescuing all the living hostages.
